About the Business

Motocyco is the business of Dave & Sandra Begotka started in their garage at the end of 2005.

Dave and Sandra make a variety of unique motorcycle parts and sell them through their website www.motocyco.biz.  They also sell select items made by other small businesses.  All products are made in the USA.

Parts are inspired by the streetfighter style.

Parts are created in small batches with emphasis on quality and fair value for customers.

Motocyco is Internet based to keep costs lower and reach customers world-wide.

Motocyco has been featured in national and international bike magazines.  Products  ship to destinations around the globe.

About Dave and Sandra Begotka

Dave and Sandra have ridden motorcycles since childhood.  Dave raced dirt bikes and road bikes throughout his life.  In the 1990s he was a mechanic with HMC Race Team winning five AMA National Championships and two World Championships road racing Buell, Harley, Triumph, Suzuki, and Ducati. In the late 90s Dave performed as a motorcycle stunter after meeting Gary Rothwell.

Sandra comes from a family of riders.  Both parents competed in AMA hill climbing in the 70s.  They were officers in the Texas Hill Climbers Association.  Her dad ran a bike parts business from their garage for a time. Her parents continue to roam across the countryside on their Honda Goldwing.

FOR MOTOCYCO

Sandra maintains the Motocyco website and social media, does the graphic design, airbrushes things, communicates with customers, writes for this blog, takes pictures, handles shipping, designs products, does finish work on stuff.

Dave rides wheelies, designs products, creates drawings, sculpts body-work, builds streetfighters,  posts at this blog and social sites,  powder-coats, bends all heel guards and brackets, tests creations, answers customer questions.

OTHER STUFF

• Riding motorcycles:  We ride when we can.  Due to an injury Dave does not ride often.  This sucks.  Odds are we will always have at least one bike.
• When we started Motocyco we customized our bikes and assisted another shop on a project bike.  All were featured in various magazines.
• We are interested in the Internet – Social Media- Blogging
• Home is in a sparsely populated area of central Texas.  Beautiful country.  Lots of rolling hills.  Twisty black tops and MANY dirt roads.  Look out for deer and loose goats!
• Working hard on the small homestead where we live. Experimenting with permaculture and growing much of our food.
• Building a 900 square foot house out of steel and straw bales
• We have chickens.  If you call you may hear Fred (our Black Langshan Rooster) crowing in the background.
• We have 3 dogs.  An English Mastiff and 2 Jack Russell Terriers.
